The GEMCO H22 (fully refurbished) is a 6WD truck mounted multi purpose rig with RC capability to 150m, diamond capability to 200m PQ, 400m HQ, 600m NQ, also capable of water boring to 100m.
This 2nd multi-purpose rig with on board Compressor 300psi x 750cfm, weighs in at 24 tonnes and whilst not as light and versatile as the Tructor has more grunt!
DT450SPD
Dubbed ‘The Buggy’, this rig is an All wheel drive diamond drill with a depth capacity of NQ to 450 metres. The short wheel base makes this rig able to drill on small pads. Fluid pump, mud-mixing pump and a hydraulic drive scavenge-mud-return pump are mounted on the rig, thereby eliminating the need for cumbersome and time consuming mud systems. Able to drill: PQ 150M, HQ 250M, NQ 450M.
*Dual tractor tyres front and rear give this rig the ability to handle extremely rough, and soft terrains. (It will go almost anywhere.)

The DRILL NORTH rigs are supported by the extensive workshop in Malanda, where regular maintenance is carried out. Re-designing and improving rigs has been Mike’s specialty for many years as a manufacturer, so now that our path has diverged to drilling, the company is benefiting from this prior experience.
The DRILL NORTH personnel consisting of drillers, offsiders, field coordinator and safety officer, workshop tradesmen and apprentices, and office administration staff have largely been trained by Mike. All are self-motivated ‘go-ahead’ people who enjoy the challenges of working within a creative team to supply a drilling service unbeatable in the far north!
